MAPS 30th Anniversary Banquet and Celebration

You’re invited to join the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) and the global psychedelic community for a benefit banquet and celebration on April 17, 2016, at the magnificent Scottish Rite Center in Oakland, California, celebrating three decades of advancements in psychedelic research and therapy.

At this historic gathering, we’ll bring together key figures in the community to celebrate the progress we’ve made since MAPS’ founding in 1986, helping build the future of psychedelic medicine with a fundraiser to support MAPS’ $400,000 purchase of 1 kilogram of MDMA for Phase 3 clinical trials to make MDMA-assisted psychotherapy a legal prescription treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The Banquet includes an exquisite buffet dinner, live music from Cello Joe, a keynote address from MAPS Founder Rick Doblin, Ph.D., plus commemorative toasts from MAPS Public Benefit Corporation Executive Director Amy Emerson, MDMA researcher Michael Mithoefer, M.D., study participants Hania Withem, John Saul, and Nigel McCourry (USMC-Ret.), visionary artists Alex Grey and Allyson Grey, MAPS donor Moshe Tov Kreps, Onnit CEO Aubrey Marcus, and Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps CEO David Bronner.

The Celebration begins after dinner with an address from Rick Doblin, Ph.D., and continues into the night with a multimedia performance by internationally renowned artist Android Jones andPHADROID, a performance of The Hidden Code by DJ Spooky, and:

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: The Celebration will include a special guest performance by electronic music pioneer Ken Jordan of The Crystal Method, with live projections by Android Jones.

A visionary art gallery hosted by Phaneros Gallery will feature artwork from:

  • Chor Boogie

A silent auction featuring rare artifacts from the psychedelic community, including signed glassware from Sasha Shulgin’s lab, will also benefit MAPS.
