Attend the Spirit Plant Medicine Conference on October 24-25, 2015, and hear some of today’s most luminary minds share their views about visionary plants and their place in contemporary society. The University of British Colombia hosts this fifth annual event, which starts with a welcoming address from famed ethnobotanist Kathleen Harrison. Each day begins with a prayer or meditation, and includes lunch and dinner at an additional cost. Some of the talks highlighted at the conference include “Andean Wisdom Teachings of a Traditional San Pedro/Huachuma Master” by traditional Peruvian healer and scholar Jhaimy Alvarez-Costa, “Rekindling Our Relationship with Traditional European Spirit Plants” by journalist Annie Oak, and “Manifesting the Mind: Inside the Psychedelic Experience,” by writer and medical doctor Gabor Maté.
